We’re fine, but we’ve been able to smell the smoke since last night.

ETA: Thanks for the concern, y’all. The closest fire to us is about 40 miles away, so we’re fine. But the sky is a weird yellow color, and our car is covered with what looks like a lot of dirt, but is actually ash. And it’s hard to breathe outside. We’re staying indoors and being very grateful we’re not closer to the real danger. As a northern California girl, I think of earthquakes as the only natural disaster possiblity in California…This fire thing is scary, even this far away.
