Okay, this is a little goofy and pointless, but I find myself oddly unable to resist. I saw it here first, and thought, well, I can either work on the respondent-critique of this colloquium paper I have to do for tomorrow, or I can waste time jazzing up the blog. It was a clear choice.
The deal is, apparently, that you can leave me voice comments–like a voicemail message, but you know, ON THE BLOG. Fun? Maybe. Excellent procrastinating device? Certainly.

Go on, leave me a voicemail-comment! And I’m not sure how clear the audio on my outgoing message here is, but my last suggestion on there is “sing me a song.” Seriously. Holiday songs are acceptable, as is anything in the bumper-pool-basement genre. Entertain me, blogfriends!

Hooray! Canada left my first voice comment! How cool is THAT?
People–leave me voice comments! Hearing blogfriends’ voices is very, very neat.

This is so cool! But I’m still fighting my hatred of phones and my fear ruining some of my anonymity, in case people can distinguish Commonwealthlandian accents…
Oh, and now blogger is freaking me out, since the word verification is something C’land-specific!

Lucy, no worries–since we’ve met in Real Life you can be exempt from the voice comments.
(but how weird, about the word verification!)

Oh good lord. The voices, in my head.

Wow, it’s totally entertaining for us listeners too. If you see repeated page hits, that’s me, hoping for new messages to listen to!

OMG! That’s the coolest thing evar! Yeah, I’m totally going to be a chicken for now…but you never know if I might be drunk blogging and feel like leaving a message!

still only 4 voice comments. People are more shy then I would have thought.
December 12, 2006 at 9:22 pm
I would be one of those shy ones. I am totally intrigued by this, but don’t know what I would say.

December 15, 2006 at 12:41 am
The messages are way cool! I can hardly wrap my mind around the voices. Where is the picture of their words???
I wish I could leave you a message but I use a calling card to call long distance. I tried. It didn’t work.
Ah, well. Pretend these words are a-talking!

I am concerned about my spider solitaire addiction. I would like to know if anyone knows if their is research on what kind of personality disorder makes someone play a game for hours and hours every day .
